He is Enough (Psalm 119:57 Reflections)

Psalms 119:57 says, Thou art my portion, O Lord; I have said that I would keep thy words.
My reflection on this verse is this:
God is with me. He is my gift and I have an inheritance through Him. He is for me and because of that he is enough for any situation. Nothing can defeat me because He is enough. All my needs are met because He is enough. I am provided for because He is enough. I have freedom because He is enough. I have peace because He is enough. I have joy because He is enough. His word is a source of life and direction. It is enough to lead me through any situation. All of His promises apply to me and if I trust in them they are certainly more than enough. The Lord is enough.
I have been in situations that are beyond my wisdom and strength. I have had questions that I could not answer. I needed direction and I could not find the way. I have been tormented and could not find peace. The common thread in all of these things is that on my own “I could not”. I didn’t have enough wisdom, strength, direction and I found myself needing more. I didn’t have enough.
Enter God and His word into my situation. Suddenly, there was wisdom. Miraculously, there was strength. In my darkness there was light. He gave me peace that passes all understanding. He changed my “could not” into “yes I can”. He makes ways where there seems to be no way. The situations that defeated me became His playground to demonstrate His amazing love.
The Lord is my portion. The Lord is enough. Turn your situation to Him and stand still and see the glory of the Lord as He turns what was intended for evil into good and He proves to you that He is enough.
