Vision

Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Vision is important. The word for vision used here is also translated “revelation”. We are blind without vision. We will stumble in the dark. We will be unable to navigate the proper course for our lives. We need God’s vision for our lives. We need to have His revelation. Revelation makes God’s word come to life. It takes knowledge from one’s head and seats into their heart.

George Barna, in the book The Power of Vision, states that you should, “Aggressively seek what God is calling you to do that distinguishes you from every other believer and makes you a unique ambassador for Christ”.

We all have a unique purpose and a sphere of influence that God has given us dominion over. What is your purpose? Where is your sphere of influence?

Take the challenge to seek God’s vision for your life. Press into God and discover His plan. Invest time into the process and allow God to speak to you. When God “reveals” your vision to you write it down (refer to Habakuk 2:2). Then take action on what God has shown you and watch His vision become reality.
