My Shepherd
As I reflect on the 23rd Psalm the following came to mind that I thought was worthy of sharing:
The Lord is my shepherd:
- He cares for me
- I am completely dependent upon Him
- He leads me to where I should go
- He keeps me safe & moves me out of the storms of life
- His way is Holy, Good and Always has Purpose
- Sometimes we must cross treacherous territory but the Lord is with us
- He is a Master navigator
- He knows where every step needs to be placed
- He corrects and directs us to assure we don’t fall
- He dwells with me always
- He provides for me
- He is greater than any of my enemies
- He demonstrates His love to me
- He identifies me as His son who carries His authority by inheritance
- He will never leave or forsake me
In this well known Psalm all of these things are illuminated. We should meditate upon these things and all that God has to say to us. My Pastor recently stated that once God speaks something it is established forever. We need to be assured that all of these things are reality in our lives. God has spoken them and they are truth and will endure eternally. It is up to us to apprehend them and make them become a reality in our lives by faith.
