Power in the Blood

The words of an old hymn came to life for Tracy and I yesterday.
The chorus says this:
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the precious blood of the Lamb.
We were in our living room enjoying a fire. Tracy came into the room from the kitchen and began to choke. She coughed up what she was choking on but her throat was very soar and began to swell closed. She began to struggle to breath. She went outside in the 18 degree weather hoping the cold air might help. It did not. She came back in and asked to be taken to the ER. We loaded her up and made the trip to the hospital.
We prayed and believed that the prayer of faith would heal her. We arrived at the hospital and they gave her many medications including steroids, benadryl, epinephrine and a breathing treatment. They put her on a heart monitor that also recorded her pulse rate. After the medications were in her system she could breath but felt like she was close to passing out. Her pulse was rapid and her heart began to throw PVC’s. We sent messages to our daughters and Pastors. All prayed and stood with us in faith believing that God had things in control. Things improved and we, four hours later, were able to go home.
Several hours later another attack came. Tracy began to experience many of the same symptoms. We both got out of bed and sought the Lord. He instructed us to praise Him, to dance, to pray in faith and thankfulness for His healing. We did. God then instructed us to take communion. We did. When Tracy drank the juice, symbolic of the Blood of Christ, she immediately was made whole. Her throat didn’t hurt, her heart began to beat normally. Praise the Lord.
Today, my friends, God wanted me to share that there IS power in the blood. Accept the shed blood of Jesus Christ today in your situations and circumstances and experience that truly by His stripes you were healed. His blood was shed for your salvation. Accept it today and allow it to be strength for you.
