PMA (Reflection on Philippians 4:8)

When I was in high school our football coach visited every classroom in the school and delivered the PMA message.  What was PMA?  PMA stood for Positive Mental Attitude.  He believed that we had a losing tradition, in part, because of how we thought.  He felt there was power in thinking positively that would influence our actions and break the losing tradition.

This is actually a Scriptural principle found in Philippians 4:8.  Read this verse and then let God speak to you regarding how to apply it to your life.  In today’s post I am creating a new category called “Reflections”.  I will share what God has spoken to me relative to the Scripture being discussed and believe you will be encouraged as I have been with what God had to say.

My reflection of Philippians 4:8 is as follows:

Today I will fill my mind with positive thoughts.  thoughts that God has about me; to prosper me, to keep me in good health, to bless my family, to reveal Himself to me.

I am a part of God’s great plan.  Without me the harmony is incomplete.  Praise God that He will use me today as a part of His master symphony.  My life will be a testimony of His favor and as all things are with God, it will be good.

Meditate on this Scripture today.  Ask God to give you a reflection of what it means for your life.  Be encouraged and know that His word is given to you out of His love and compassion and will guide your steps, help defend you from the adversary and be a map for your journey in life.
