Enter His Courts

Psalms 100 begins, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord” and later says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise;  be thankful unto him and bless his name”.

This song of praise and joy reveals to us a key to enter into His courts.  God wants us not only to “enter his gates” but also to come into the deeper part, the intimate place of “His courts”.

It should bring us joy to have a relationship with God.  As we “enter His courts”  we will be transformed.  We should celebrate this, sing about it and literally exude happiness and see how others will be drawn to Him through us.  This joy can only come from a relationship that is deeper than that which can be obtained in the “outer courts” or just barely inside the gate.  This unspeakable joy comes from the deeper relationship with God.

So how do we go beyond the gate and move into the “inner courts”.  David writes, “enter into His gates with thanksgiving, AND INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE”.  The door of the inner court is opened through PRAISE.

We need to PRAISE Him for He is greater than any other thing.  He is stronger, higher and by His hand we were created.  As we praise Him, we become more intimate with Him.  His word becomes revelation to us.  We understand how to hear His voice.  As we draw near to Him he draws near to us.

God is good, merciful, graceful and a God of truth.  He changes not but there is so much more for us to know of Him.

Praise Him today, enter the inner court and discover all God has for you and how deeply He loves you.
